• USS Enterprise is commissioned, enters service, begins a five year mission under Captain Robert April
• Dr. Sarah Poole-April, wife of Captain April is Chief Medical Officer

2246

• USS Enterprise renders aid to Tarsus IV following the massacre by Kodos the Executioner

2248

• Una Chin-Riley is assigned to USS Enterprise as science officer

2249

• Christopher Pike is assigned to the Enterprise as first officer under Captain April

2251

• USS Enterprise's first five year mission ends
• Robert April is promoted to Admiral, placed in charge of the Constitution Class program
• Christopher Pike is promoted to Captain, placed in command of USS Enterprise
• USS Enterprise begins a new five year mission under Captain Pike, Una Chin-Riley is assigned as first officer, Dr. Philip Boyce is assigned as Chief Medical Officer

• USS Enterprise docks at Starbase 40, Ensign Spock is assigned to USS Enterprise as science officer

• USS Enterprise visits Rigel VII, 3 crewmen are killed and 7 injured when the away team is attacked by the indigenous Kaylar.
• After picking up an 18 year old distress call from the SS Columbia the USS Enterprise visits Talos IV, makes first contact with the Talosians.  The mission results in General Order 7 prohibiting contact with Talos IV

• USS Enterprises five year mission is scheduled to end, however the Federation-Klingon war results in it being ordered to stay on duty and out of the combat

2257

• USS Enterprise tests an experimental holographic communication system, this results in catastrophic computer and primary systems failure.  The ship ends up being towed to Earth.

2258

• USS Enterprise is drydocked for refits and full computer rebuild
• Dr. Boyce retires
• Following repairs and refits USS Enterprise launches on a two month exploration mission to Eldrin II.  After this mission the USS Enterprise returns to Earth

2259

• USS Enterprise begins a second five year mission under Captain Pike
• Dr. Joseph M'Benga is assigned as Chief Medical Officer
• Cadet Nyota Uhura is assigned to USS Enterprise for field training

2260

• Commander Una Chin-Riley is arrested and tried for lying to get into Starfleet after being discovered to be an Illyrian.  She is acquitted and returns to duty.

 

2261

• Following the battle with the Gorn at Parnassus Beta USS Enterprise spends two months in drydock at Starbase 1 for repairs
• USS Enterprise tests a prototype holographic recreation room.  It is discovered that the ships computer is unable to handle the complexity of the holographic simulations.

2263

• Captain Pikes second five year mission ends
• USS Enterprise returns to Earth for refits and crew rotation. As part of the refit the crew compliment is increased from 203 to 430.
• Christopher Pike steps down from command of the Enterprise, is promoted to Fleet Captain
• James T. Kirk is promoted to Captain, assigned to command USS Enterprise

• USS Enterprise begins a five year mission under Captain Kirk
• Spock becomes first officer
• Dr. Mark Piper serves as temporary chief medical officer for 3 months, until Dr. Leonard McCoy finishes his assignment on Capella IV

2265

• USS Enterprise discovers the Galactic Barrier
• While docked at Starbase 24 for repairs, Dr. Piper leaves the Enterprise to return to Earth to begin teaching at Starfleet Medical
• Dr. Leonard McCoy becomes Chief Medical Officer
• USS Enterprise makes first contact with the Romulans in over 100 years

• Fleet Captain Pike is injured and left paralyzed by radiation burns in an accident on a training ship
• USS Enterprise responds neural parasite invasion on Deneva colony
• Captain Kirk is court-martialed at Starbase 11 for supposedly causing the death of Lieutenant Benjamin Finney.  He is acquitted after Finney is found to be alive and to have stage the death to frame Kirk.

• USS Enterprise is commandeered by Commander Spock, returns to Talos IV to deliver Captain Pike to Talos IV to live the rest of his life with the illusion of health
• USS Enterprise discovers Khan Noonien Singh and his followers is suspended animation aboard the derelict SS Botany Bay
• USS Enterprise makes first contact with the mirror universe

• USS Enterprise participates in war games exercises to test Dr. Richard Daystroms M5 multitronic computer.  This results is the destruction of the USS Excalibur and the death of its crew, as well as damage and casualties to USS Lexington, USS Hood and USS Potemkin.

• USS Enterprise returns to Earth
• James T Kirk is promoted to Admiral
• USS Enterprise begins a major 18 month refit as part of the fleet modernization program
• Captain Willard Decker is assigned to command USS Enterprise during and after the refit

2271

• USS Enterprise launches prematurely to counter the V'Ger entity.  Captain Decker is lost during the encounter.
• James Kirk resumes command of USS Enterprise for a five year mission

2278

• USS Enterprise leads the search effort for the missing USS Bozeman the Typhon Expanse
• USS Enterprise returns to Earth
• James Kirk retires
• Spock is promoted to Captain, placed in command

2280

• James Kirk returns to Starfleet, becomes commandant of Starfleet Academy
• USS Enterprise is retired from active service and becomes a training ship and flagship of Admiral Kirk

2285

• Admiral Kirk takes command of USS Enterprise during a training mission to investigate problems at Space Lab Regula 1
• USS Enterprise is heavily damaged during an attack by the USS Reliant which has been commandeered by Khan Noonien Singh
• Captain Spock dies after sacrificing himself to fix the warp drive to allow the Enterprise to escape the Mutara Nebula
• After retrieving the USS Reliant crew from Ceti Alpha V and transferring science personnel to USS Grissom, USS Enterprise returns to Earth
• USS Enterprise is slated for decommissioning, however the ship is commandeered by Admiral Kirk and his command crew to retrieve Spock's body from Genesis Planet
• USS Enterprise is destroyed by self-destruct in orbit of Genesis Planet to prevent capture by Klingons
