I. SUMMARY OF INCURSION
On stardate 50893.5 the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E against orders joined the Starfleet armada at Earth and was crucial in defeating a Borg Cube (see Starfleet records: Battel of Sector 001). Moments before its destruction the Borg Cube launched a Borg Sphere which utilized a modulated chroniton field to travel back in time over 300 years to Earths mid 21st century. Captain Picard ordered the Enterprise-E to follow the sphere back in time. The two ships emerged on April 4, 2063, one day before first contact between Humanity and the Vulcans. The Borg Sphere opened fire on Zefram Cochrane's launch site for the warp ship phoenix in Bozeman, Montana, but was quickly destroyed by the Enterprise. An away team led by Captain Picard disguised in period civilian clothing beamed down to the missile complex to assess and repair the damage. Captain Picard and Lieutenant Commander Data were attacked in the missile silo by a 21st century civilian, Lily Sloane. Leaking radiation from the Phoenix caused Sloane to pass out, she was beamed to the Enterprise's sickbay for treatment. After ordering an engineering team led by Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge to beam down to assist with repairs to the Phoenix Captain Picard returned to the Enterprise which was being assimilated by Borg beamed aboard moments before the spheres destruction. Facing Borg drones entering sickbay Dr. Crusher evacuated her staff and a now conscious Lily Sloane via the Jeffries tubes, after which Lily Sloane became separated from Crusher and the medical staff. Captain Picard would encounter Lily Sloane in the maintenance corridors, following which he would gain her trust by showing her Earth through an open, forcefielded airlock. During her time onboard Lily Sloane would see Borg Drones, a Klingon (Lieutenant Commander Worf) and 24th century technology including various parts of the ship, phasers and a holodeck. On Earth Commander William Riker, Counsellor Deanna Troi and Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge would reveal their future origins and purpose on 21st century Earth to Dr. Zefram Cochrane in an attempt to persuade him to go forward with his warp flight as planned. Lieutenant Commander LaForge would use Cochrane's telescope to allow Cochrane to see the USS Enterprise in orbit. The following day LaForge would tell Dr. Cochrane about Zefram Cochrane High School and the memorial statue of Cochrane that would be constructed at the launch site in Bozeman, Montana. Later that day LaForge would stun a fleeing Dr. Cochrane with a phaser. Cochrane would agree to go forward with the warp flight. The launch of the warp ship Phoenix would occur on schedule, with Commander Riker and Lieutenant Commander LaForge aboard the Phoenix with Dr. Cochrane and Lieutenant Commander Deanna Troi at launch control. The warp flight was successful and first contact between humanity and the Vulcans would take place as history records. Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge, Counselor Deanna Troi and Dr. Beverly Crusher would beam down to/remain on Earth and witness the landing of the T'Plana Hath and the meeting of Dr. Zefram Cochrane and Solkar of Vulcan. Picard then contacted the Enterprise and ordered a beam out in the presence the 21st century natives. Lieutenant Commander LaForge was able to modify the Enterprise's deflector dish to recreate the modulated chroniton field used by the Borg sphere, allowing the ship to return to 2373.

Potential contamination/damage to the timeline: minimal
Predestination: the Borg Sphere's travel back in time to prevent first contact between humanity and the Vulcans caused the USS Enterprise-E to travel back in time to prevent said change to the timeline and thus created a pogo paradox, such that the Borg's attempt to prevent first contact actually caused, vis-a-vis the Enterprise-E first contact to occur as historical records reflect.
Due to this mitigating factor and the fact that the following violations were committed to preserve the integrity of the timeline, the following violations:

Addendum 2:
According to historical research, on 26 February 2153 an archeological team sent to investigate alien wreckage located in the arctic circle on Earth found the wreckage of a spherical ship that had apparently been there for nearly a century as well as the corpses of several cybernetically enhanced humanoids. After being taken to a lab the humanoids cybernetic components would reactivate, apparently having been preserved by the extreme cold. The humanoids would use nanoprobes to assimilate the scientists and modify their transport ship, designated Arctic One and leave Earth. Having lost contact with the team Starfleet would investigate and the starship Enterprise NX-01 under Captain Jonathan Archer would be sent to intercept the ship and attempt to rescue the scientists. After engaging in a battle with the transport Captain Archer and Lieutenant Malcolm Reed would transport aboard Arctic One and find the scientists fully assimilated and augmented with cybernetic components. Beaming back to Enterprise they would detonate a series of charges planted by Lieutenant Reed, disabling the transport. Archer then ordered phase cannons and spatial torpedoes used to destroy the transport. These events, especially in light of the First Contact incursion put Zefram Cochranes references at the 2064 Princeton Commencement Address to a group of cybernetic creatures from the future trying to prevent the warp flight from happening and being stopped by a group of Humans also from the future (taken as only the exaggerated ramblings of a notorious drunkard at the time) in a new light. A review of Starfleet Command and NX-01 records of the event have confirmed that the cybernetically enhanced humanoids found in the arctic were in fact Borg, specifically Borg drones from the late 24th century. Thus the debris is almost certainly that of the Borg sphere destroyed by the USS Enterprise-E 90 years earlier. The implication that the collective may have had knowledge of Earth as early as the 24th century is intriguing, if scary.
